Black WG26/34 125KHz RFID Contactless IP65 Smart Card Reader

The Black WG26/34 125KHz RFID Contactless Smart Card Reader is a reliable and easy-to-use RFID reader designed for contactless identification, access control, attendance, and security applications. It operates at 125KHz and reads compatible RFID cards and tags without requiring physical contact. Supporting Wiegand 26-bit and 34-bit communication, the reader can be connected to compatible access control panels, RFID controllers, security systems, and other electronic control devices.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, the reader features an IP65-rated enclosure that provides protection against dust and water. Its compact and durable construction makes it suitable for installation near doors, gates, offices, homes, industrial areas, parking systems, and other locations where reliable RFID identification is required.

The reader is compatible with commonly used 125KHz RFID cards and tags, including TK4001, EM4100, and similar compatible cards. When a valid card or tag is detected, the reader reads its identification data and transmits the information through the selected Wiegand interface. A built-in buzzer provides audible feedback, while the two input ports for external LED and buzzer control provide additional flexibility for customized access-control installations.

The contactless operation allows users to simply bring a compatible RFID card or tag close to the reader without inserting or physically touching it. This makes the device convenient for high-frequency access applications and automated identification systems.

Design and Construction

The Black WG26/34 RFID Reader features a compact enclosure designed for convenient installation in access-control and identification systems. Its enclosed construction protects the internal electronics during normal operation and provides an IP65 protection rating against dust and water exposure.

The reader is designed for contactless operation, allowing RFID cards and tags to be detected without physical contact. This reduces mechanical wear and provides a convenient user experience for repeated card authentication.

The front section of the reader is designed to detect compatible 125KHz RFID cards and tags when they are brought within the operating range. The built-in buzzer provides audible feedback during card detection, helping users identify when a card has been successfully read.

The reader also provides two input ports for external LED and buzzer control, allowing it to be integrated into customized access-control systems where additional visual or audible feedback is required.

Working Principle

The reader works by using 125KHz RFID technology to wirelessly detect compatible RFID cards or tags placed near its reading area.

When an RFID card enters the reader’s detection range, the reader communicates with the card and obtains its identification information. The captured data is then transmitted through the Wiegand 26-bit or 34-bit interface to a compatible access-control controller or other supported system.

The connected controller can then compare the received card information with its stored authorization data and perform the required action, such as unlocking a door, recording attendance, activating a gate, or allowing access.

The built-in buzzer can provide audible feedback when a card is detected, while the external control inputs allow the LED and buzzer functions to be incorporated into customized installations.

The reader is a passive identification interface and normally works as part of a larger access-control or RFID system rather than independently controlling access permissions.

Product Disclaimer

Product images are shown for illustrative and representational purposes only. The actual product may vary slightly in colour, dimensions, enclosure details, surface finish, cable configuration, or appearance depending on the manufacturing batch.

RFID cards, RFID tags, access-control controllers, power supplies, locks, cables, microcontrollers, and other components shown in product images are not included unless specifically mentioned in the package contents.

Compatibility depends on the RFID card/tag frequency and communication protocol. This reader is designed for 125KHz RFID cards/tags and Wiegand 26/34 communication. Please verify compatibility with the intended access-control controller before installation.

The IP65 rating provides protection against dust and water exposure under applicable test conditions, but the reader should not be intentionally submerged in water.
