Privacy notice

1. Scope and data fiduciary

This notice applies to personal data processed through the TechyTron storefront, customer support, order fulfilment, and related communications. The legal name and contact details of the data fiduciary and its designated contact must be completed before personal data collection is enabled.

2. Data we may collect

• Identity and contact data: name, email address, mobile number, login identity, and verification status.
• Order data: products, quantities, billing and delivery addresses, GSTIN/company details, invoices, returns, and support history.
• Payment and fulfilment data: provider references, payment status, shipment identifiers, delivery events, and refund status. We do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or banking passwords.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser/device information, security events, cookie preferences, searches, viewed products, and commerce events.
• Communication preferences, consent records, and records needed to respond to privacy or grievance requests.

3. Why we use data

• Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, detect fraud, and protect the platform.
• Process carts, orders, payments, GST invoices, delivery, cancellations, returns, refunds, and customer support.
• Comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, product-safety, and lawful government requirements.
• Operate, measure, troubleshoot, and improve search, catalog, accessibility, and service reliability.
• Send promotional email, SMS, or WhatsApp messages only where the required consent and telecom registrations exist, with an effective opt-out.

4. Sharing and processors

Data may be shared only as necessary with vetted payment providers, couriers, object-storage/CDN providers, communication providers, identity/security providers, professional advisers, and authorities where legally required. Contracts, access controls, purpose limitation, and retention requirements must apply to processors.

TechyTron does not sell personal data. Competitor-price links do not receive your TechyTron account or order data from us.

5. Cookies and preferences

Strictly necessary cookies support sessions, security, carts, and your light/dark/system preference. Optional analytics or advertising storage must remain disabled until the customer makes the required choice. Authentication tokens are not stored in localStorage.

6. Retention and security

Personal data is retained only for the purpose disclosed, legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and backup cycles, then deleted or anonymised under a documented schedule. Safeguards include encryption in transit, restricted access, audit logs, secure password hashing, backups, monitoring, and incident response.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access information about processing and request correction, completion, erasure, or withdrawal of consent where applicable.
• Change communication preferences without affecting transactional order and security messages.
• Nominate another individual and use the grievance process as provided under applicable Indian data-protection law.
• Submit a complaint to the competent authority after first using the published TechyTron grievance channel, where required by law.

8. Children and changes

The store is not designed for children to purchase independently. Age assurance and verifiable parental consent will be implemented where legally required. Material notice changes will be dated and communicated through an appropriate channel.
