Product Description

The GY-169 INA169 Current Sensor Module is a compact high-side current monitoring module designed to measure DC current accurately without disturbing the system ground path. Based on the INA169 current-sense amplifier, it converts the voltage developed across a shunt resistor into an analog voltage proportional to the measured current.

Its high-side sensing configuration makes it suitable for battery monitoring, power supplies, motor control, automotive systems, and DIY power measurement projects.

High-Side Current Sensing

Unlike low-side current sensing, the INA169 monitors current on the positive power rail, helping maintain a common and stable ground connection for the rest of the system.

Wide Voltage Support

Working Principle

The INA169 monitors the voltage difference developed across a current-sense shunt resistor placed in the positive power path.

The amplifier processes this differential voltage and generates an analog output voltage proportional to the current flowing through the load. A microcontroller or ADC can then read this output to determine changes in current consumption.
