IR Remote – 21 Key Mini Infrared Remote Control

This is an ultra-thin 38 kHz universal infrared remote control that transmits IR signals using the NEC encoding format. It is a general-purpose remote suited for use with TVs, VCD players, car MP3 units, foot baths, lighting, digital photo frames, microcontroller development boards, learning boards and other compatible IR receiver devices.

How It Works

The remote uses a MOS integrated circuit with NEC transmission format, which includes leader codes, custom codes (16 bits) and data codes (16 bits). The oscillation frequency is set by a crystal, and the IR LEDs emit IR pulses at 38 kHz. The circuit is suited to most IR sensors, which are designed for 38 kHz pulsed IR rays.
