WT588D-16P Voice Sound Module – High Quality Audio Player

WT588D-16P 16M-Bit Voice Sound Audio Player Module

Product Description

The WT588D-16P Audio Receiver Board is a versatile voice and audio playback module designed to add high-quality voice prompts, announcements, alarms, and sound effects to electronic projects. Based on the WT588D-16P voice chip, it provides 16M-bit (approximately 2MB) memory for storing audio files.

The module supports multiple control methods, including Key Mode, Matrix Key Mode, and 3-wire Serial UART Mode, making it suitable for standalone applications as well as microcontroller-based projects.

High-Fidelity Audio Playback

The module features a built-in 13-bit D/A converter and 12-bit PWM output for audio playback. It can directly drive a small 0.5W/8Ω speaker, making it suitable for compact voice and sound applications without requiring an external amplifier for supported speaker configurations.

It supports WAV audio files with sampling rates from 6kHz to 20kHz, providing flexibility for different voice and sound requirements.

Large Audio Storage

With 16M-bit (approximately 2MB) Flash memory, the module can store multiple voice messages, announcements, sound effects, and other audio files.

Audio content can be customized and updated using a suitable programmer, allowing the module to be adapted for different projects and applications.

Multiple Control Modes

The WT588D-16P supports several methods of triggering audio playback:

Key Mode

Audio files can be triggered using connected push buttons or control keys.

Matrix Key Mode

Multiple keys can be arranged in a matrix configuration to control different audio files.

Serial UART Mode

The module can be controlled through a 3-wire serial interface, allowing microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi to select and play stored audio.

Working Principle

The WT588D-16P stores preloaded audio data in its internal memory. When a key, matrix input, or serial command is received, the onboard voice chip processes the selected audio file and outputs the corresponding sound through its PWM or DAC audio interface.

A compatible speaker can be connected to the audio output for direct playback, while the serial interface can be used for controlled audio playback from a microcontroller.
