Hex Brass Coupling for Wheels 6.1mm Dia

Hex Brass Coupling for 130mm Robot Wheel

The Hex Brass Coupling is a compact and durable wheel coupling designed to be used with our 130mm Robot Wheel for All Terrain and DIY Robotics. It provides a secure mechanical connection between the wheel and compatible motor or drive assembly, making it suitable for DIY robotics, all-terrain robot vehicles, and custom wheel-based mechanisms.

Manufactured from brass, the coupling offers good mechanical strength and durability while maintaining a compact and lightweight design. Its 6.1mm bore diameter, 12mm edge width, and 18.05mm total length make it suitable for compatible robotic wheel assemblies.

The hexagonal coupling design provides a reliable connection and helps transfer rotational motion from the motor or drive shaft to the wheel. With a weight of approximately 12g, it is suitable for robotic applications where minimizing additional weight is important.

Design and Construction

The Hex Brass Coupling is manufactured from brass to provide a strong and durable mechanical connection for compatible robotic wheels. Its compact construction allows it to be installed in wheel assemblies without adding unnecessary bulk or weight.

The hexagonal profile is designed to provide a positive mechanical interface with compatible wheel components. This helps maintain a secure connection between the coupling and wheel during operation.

With a 6.1mm bore diameter and 12mm edge width, the coupling is designed for use with compatible shafts and wheel assemblies. The 18.05mm total length provides a compact mounting structure suitable for robotic applications.

Weighing approximately 12g, the coupling provides a balance between mechanical strength and lightweight construction, making it suitable for mobile robots and other motorized platforms.

Compatible Product

The Hex Brass Coupling is designed for use with our:

130mm Robot Wheel for All Terrain and DIY Robotics

The coupling should be used only with compatible wheel, shaft, and motor dimensions. Please verify the mechanical dimensions before installation.

Working Principle

The Hex Brass Coupling functions as a mechanical connection between a compatible motor or drive shaft and the robot wheel.

The compatible shaft is inserted into the coupling’s 6.1mm bore, while the hexagonal outer profile interfaces with the corresponding wheel connection. When the motor rotates the shaft, the coupling transfers the rotational motion to the wheel, allowing the robot to move.

The rigid brass construction helps maintain the mechanical connection during operation. The coupling does not require any electrical power and functions entirely as a passive mechanical component.
