Product Description

The DC 12V 4-Channel Relay Module with Optocoupler is a high-quality relay interface board designed to control multiple electrical appliances and high-current loads using microcontrollers and control systems. It features four independent relay channels with low-level trigger inputs, making it suitable for Arduino, PIC, AVR, ARM, DSP, 8051, MSP430, PLC, and other compatible systems.

Each relay channel requires approximately 50–60mA driver current and provides a switching capacity of up to 250V AC at 10A or 30V DC at 10A. Onboard LED indicators provide visual feedback of relay output status, making testing and troubleshooting easier.

Design and Construction

The module features a compact PCB containing four relays, optocoupler isolation circuitry, driver components, and individual LED indicators. The separate relay channels allow multiple electrical devices or circuits to be independently controlled.

Working Principle

The relay module receives control signals through IN1–IN4 from a connected microcontroller or control system. The inputs use low-level triggering, so the corresponding relay is activated when its input receives a LOW signal.

When activated, the relay switches its output contacts, allowing the connected electrical load to be turned ON or OFF. The optocoupler provides electrical isolation between the input control circuitry and relay section, helping reduce interference and improve system reliability.
